MUNCIE - Hawrel Shopher, 80, Byrdstown,
Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at the Livingston Regional Hospital in
Livingston, Tenn.
He was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Jonesboro,
Ark., and retired from General Motors.
He is survived by special friend Sarah
Nicholas Cooper of Byrdstown; three stepdaughters, Charlene Lewis (husband: Dave) of
Carmel, Brenda Stephens (husband: Kenny) of Muncie, and Marie Williams of Muncie; several
stepgrandchildren; special friends, Amos and Isabella Nicholas, Arlen and Bessie Nicholas,
Yvonne Nicholas, Waldon and Delina Gaither, Christine Medley, Roosevelt and Betty
Nicholas, Virgil and Louise Nicholas, and Nobel and Edith Nicholas.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 10, 2003,
in the Brown Funeral Chapel in Byrdstown with Brother Charles Burrey officiating. Burial
was in the Mount Era Cemetery. Special care was provided by the Brown Funeral Chapel of
Byrdstown.
Active pallbearers: George, Amos, Cecil and
Noble Nicholas and Jackie and Waldon Gaither.
Honorary pallbearers: Kenny Stephens, Dave
Lewis and Arlen Nicholas
