Survivors: wife Jo Ann Williams Carlton; children Carl E. , William A., Jamie B. carlton. Lori Ann Bosley; mother Janie K. Payne Carlton; brothers Melvin E., Paul E., Michael R. Carlton; sisters Bessie J. Taylor, Judie F. Shopher, Charlotte McDonough; 10 grandchildren.
