Son of Charles Oliver Shopher and Edna Louis Stafford
Grandson of Oliver George Shopher and Lorene Christine Haddox
Larry enlisted June 17, 1975. He did
Basic Training as well as Infantry Training at Fort Polk Louisiana.
He went through Dragon Weapon Specialist
Training. He served in 1st Battallion 16th Infantry Ranger Unit in Stuttgart Germany
from November 1975 to November 1977. He was an Armoured Personnel Carrier Driver.
He was discharged November 17, 1977.
